i dont remember HH denying it as vehemently as Mark Brown/BT did...

quote:

As for the age statement, Brown said that the company has absolutely no intention of dropping it, and it has plans on the books to keep it at 10 years through 2047. He said the change in the labeling was also a result of the new production facility. The old bottles had the age statement on a neck wrap, which had to be placed by hand so that it was centered. The new facility has a machine do the neck wrap and plastic shrink-wrap that goes over it, and there’s no way to make the machine center the neck wrap on the bottle. There was nowhere else to put the age statement on the front, so they moved it to the back.

we can only hope....

No but they said the only reason they were moving the 12 year age statement to the back of the bottle was to make the front label uniform with ECBP.

Buffalo Trace gave us some story about a new bottling line not being able to guarantee that all bottles would be from a single barrel and also couldn't put the 10 year label on the neck straight.

Speaking of Eagle Rare 10. A couple of weeks ago a few grocery stores in BR got some bottles of the old label ER 10 with the 10 year neck label. They were all barrel selects for Winn Dixie but these were at other grocery stores.

I hope so. That is one hell of a forward thinking business plan to go out 32 years. If I'm being that thorough I am figuring out a way to keep the 10 year on the front of the label. If not on the neck then on the front somewhere.

It's interesting but not for everyone. I wont be buying my own bottle. Like jlsufan said, find someone with a bottle and try it.

I like the Alberta Dark Batch better and it's almost a 1/4 of the price.

Damnit.... One of my Faves.

What do you boys think of the Booker's cask strength?

Seems I like the Jim Beam Distillery's offerings.

Tried the old world at a restaurant. I would liken it to an angels envy rye. There are several different versions of the old world, not sure which one I had
