Gold is good. Sftb is better. Both are delish tho.

PMP makes a good old fashion.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't realize SFTB was only sold internationally. Looks like I'll be on the lookout for both.

I think I may actually be in the minority and prefer Gold to SFTB... But it has been a while since I have done a side by side.

I'm thinking Blanton's Gold and Rock Hill Farms are pretty much the same.

Agreed...been a while for me, but I think RHF might have a bit more bite.

We did a lineup not too long ago with the black regular gold and sftb. Some like the gold a lot and maybe more than sftb. But they were not so positive. They are both great. I just like the proof of the sftb if I am transporting.

Nerp. Have not.

FYI on the wintersmith icechest. Do not use distilled water, it won't work. Leave streaks in the ice and not sure why. I saw them today when I tried and then I read it would. You have to use warm/hot water or it won't be as clear as it should. Test how long it takes to freeze, it may take less than 24hrs to be right. And don't leave it in the freezer for more than 24-30...cuz the plastic will mushroom out. Ask me how I know

All this can be read on there site too...had I read it all recently I would have remembered.

I read someplace if you wrap those in towels then in the freezer it helps. Never tried it. And if you could freeze AT 32deg.

Definetly have to use warm/hot water. These are clear as they should be. One of the times I didn't use warm enough water and had cracks and stuff in them. I also pulled these at 13 1/2 hrs to see where the progress was. Kind cool how they freeze...top down.
