Those ice sphere molds are really cool, but I don't see why reservoir and "insulating sleeve" are worth $80.
Seems like I could repurpose an old ice cube reservoir for same purpose and chill in deep freeze. Serve same purpose?

Its how it freezes. I have seen some use PVC pipe and a cpl icechest rigs to get a long round ice cube and 1/2 will be clear. This is a better package. Worth 80...probably just as worth pappy 23 being 250. If you have to spend its nice I suppose.
