Around 2010 I went into churchhills to buy my brother a nice bottle for Christmas. Grabbed a pappy 20 for 120ish if i remember correctly. I also remember them having multiplies of each of the BATC. Crazy how it's pretty much impossible to find any of those these days without some kinda conection.
shite i remember buying Handy at Churchills in like July like 3 years ago... That was the last time i've seen a btac on a shelf

I have been ISO the best under $40 bourbon to make an Old Fashioned. The OF has become my favorite bourbon cocktail when made with Luxardo cherry juice. I've tried Woodford reserve, Elijah Craig SmB, Eagle Rare, Buffalo Trace, Evan Williams SB, 1792 Ridgemont Reserve, Weller Special Reserve, Basil Hayden, Makers Mark, Bulleit, and Willet Pot Still so far.
And the winner is - Elijah Craig SmB with Buffalo Trace as a close second. Close enough to alternate between the two.
What's your favorite Old Fashioned mixer?

I really like an EC in an old fashioned

Got these two last night as gifts. Funny you ask that question, TFM, because Basil Hayden is one of my favorites for OFs. But I would say Buffalo Trace is my go to.
Also, I just realized that I've never had a regular KCSB, only Calandros barrels. How's the regular taste?

Is this good for $75? Buddy of mine is in New York and saw this stuff.

And to think I saw some for $50 earlier and thought it was overpriced.
