So Stagg, Jr. worth a shot?

The reviews I have seen are mixed at best.

I've seen people give bad reviews and then after trying it again, they enjoy it. Apparently its helped by a lot of air time. I plan to open my bottle and let it breath for a while before I drink.

I plan to pour mine through a wine aerator and see if that changes anything.

I have had about 4 drinks from my bottle of stagg jr.
Drink 1 - the day i received it, opened and poured. I almost spit it out. It tasted like what I assume jet fuel taste like.
Drink 2 - I opened the bottle and let it sit open for 30mins before I poured over ice
Drink 3&4 - I opened the bottle and let it sit, then just mixed with a tble spoon of water

Drink 4 was the best, but it still isnt as good as ECBP on day 1

I don't know if any of you bourbon mavens would be interested, but I saw a bottle of Elijah Craig 21 year today at Calandro's on Government. I think it was $150.... I don't know if that's a rare one or not, but I thought I'd post just incase anyone was interested.

What do you all think will be a reasonable expectation of secondary market prices for the 2013 BTAC offerings? What are the 2012 offerings going for now?

Going to try out this mix. I have had the 12 but not the 107. I'll let it sit for a few days (unless someone says longer) and try all 3.

Anyone mix them on a regular basis?

I've not been able to locate 2013 BTAC in my neck of the woods (NE Florida), but I may have struck gold today. I spoke to a retailer that said he had multiple bottles of Stagg, ER 17, and Thomas Handy, all at retail price. I had them hold a few for me, and will find out for sure tomorrow at lunch. If its legit, I may run up a significant bill!

I've yet to hear from my NOLA liquor guy about any BTAC, Pappy or Four Roses 125th.

Heard the Pappy release may not get here until November, and perhaps the other shipments will be a little later as well.

If anyone hears differently, I'm all ears...

I talked to a manager from the largest distribution company in FL and confirmed that they received some stores allocations of BTAC. He alson said it was not very much, and he hasnt seen a bottle of wlw yet. He didnt know if FL was going to receive any wlw.
