I was there Monday as well, had Michter's 10 and a Pikesville Rye (which we both agreed was pretty damn good) and made it out with a $14 tab before tip. I agree though on the prices. Every BTAC in that place is $40 for a pour and there is a place in town that I frequent for dinner that has Handy for $10 a pour and Stagg $16 for a pour every night of the week (when they have it that is)

Thanks for the invite on Monday night. I can't make one Sunday get together and I get passed over for future outings.

His prices will be closer to reality if so.

Lol Jacob and I ran over there to talk logistics of the December outing. Invited JCANS on my way over there and he was able to make it. Spur of the moment. Next time we will make it more known.

I think that's the issue right there too. Tom will always have BTAC in stock because people want it. He can't just call republic and order it, has to get it on the secondary and his prices reflect that.

We all had a Sour Mash there for $14 a pour or something like that. He told us he can get us a bottle for our outing but he will have to pay secondary pricing so the cost will reflect secondary pricing.

I really don't think there's a place in town that you can visit that always has full line up of Pappy and BTAC that doesn't charge a lot.

I know but I still feel bad. Don't want to exclude anyone. It was fun even though we were only there for an hour or so.

Also, JCANS mentioned it, public service announcement. Pikesville Rye is delicious. It's Rittenhouse with a couple extra years and 10 more proof. It's darn tasty and around $40 a bottle or so. Need to find it retail now.

Congrats to anyone that got BTAC in the wild in NOLA. Struck out everywhere. Guess I need to pay the delivery guys next year to let me know delivery times so I can wait outside. Up'd my purchases at one location and became friendly with the manager but that didnt help
