Make sure you invite NOLAGT over when you pour scotch as he is a scotch guy now.

They picked the Double Rye bottle correct? I don't know much about High West but I went ahead with the pick because I've been wanting to try it. I didn't notice this at the time but got an email from Ezra's today, all high west bottles are 25% off. That makes the Double Rye $27 today. Or $35 normally. Our prices are a good amount more than that.

And yeah it's a barrel pick and that's causes it to be a premium, understand that. But is it really worth almost double what you can pay retail for it?

SBP picked a double rye finished in sweet vermouth barrels. I believe it's barrel proof.. Not certain though

Single Barrel Project has completed its selection for High West. We have picked out a Double Rye, finished in a Sweet Vermouth barrel. This complex rye has a Manhattan finish like none other, and would be perfect for an after-dinner pour, or introducing a friend to rye whiskey.

Yeah I looked more at the DR and I see that the normal retail bottle doesn't seem to be finished or anything. Very good. I appreciate the help. Feel better about the purchase now.

Same here. Big fan of the sherry cask finish so figured this couldn't be bad either. A buddy of mine really likes the juice too.

Seriously, same here. I joined another barrel group like this one and it turned out to be a bust. Need something new and exciting on the barrel pick front.

Would love to get that Makers 46 or Basil Hayden's just announced one little while ago, that would be cool.

Damn.. I'd like to be in a couple others.. I've gotten some amazing 4R bottles lately from different people.. Hidden gems without the hassle of chasing down da rarrrrre.

BSBR, not sure if you follow Reddit bourbon but they're planning another barrel select soon also.
