I'm not a Bookers guy either. However, I'm always willing to try them both again. Taste changes for everyone.

Maybe BR would be better for me to put firth an effort in than Mississippi. I could direct my business/spending either way.

This 50% off nights? Do they just have stuff marked up crazy or are they fair and 50% off actually a deal?

I would say the Cove has some of the best prices in town. The Cove has the largest selection and most unique selection for sure. I can't remember exactly how much it is right now but I know you can do the entire Van Winkle vertical for $125 ish during the 50% off which is a steal compared to most places. They also have random bottles of older stuff like OWA or older Van Winkles that are fairly priced. I mean they were charging less than $20 for a pour of Sour Mash. They could literally sell that online for $1000 right now all day.

As for BR itself, we are really fortunate that we have several killer whiskey bars, or bars that have a killer whiskey selection at least. And we have owners that really are into whiskey and their bartenders are into it as well.

Will do. Should be this week. Want to give everyone lots of advanced time to plan for it and get permission from their wives to go.

Lol yeah we are really excited. Still working on planning everything but there will be some cool stuff. I picked up a Willett 8 year Rye in Dallas a few months ago and that will be one of the giveaways!

one of them happens to be EHT Sour Mash

I heard that they are completely out of Sour Mash because some a-hole killed the bottle at those prices...

Honestly I don't know, haven't been there in a while. Wouldn't be surprised though. I'm glad a group of us all were able to get pours when we did.

I'm the a-hole.

They said they didn't have any replacement bottles but they may have just been trying to save some for other people.

It's delicious, smooth and so easy to drink. If secondary wasn't so ridiculous I'd keep a bottle at all times.

Under 20 for Sour Mash is just crazy.

Cure a couple of years back had VWRye for like 16. Some idiot at the bar is telling the owner that it was woefully underpriced...next week it was 30. I wanted to crack a bottle over his head.

Just found some EHT Tornado at the north BR Piggly Wiggly....thanks guys

Now I know that's not true. I dragged my fiancé up there one Sunday afternoon to check it out and they don't even sell liquor. It was basically a war torn Eastern European country up there. She didn't let that one go for a month.

Technically I did but we were already in North BR anyways. We were crossing the old bridge into BR and I remembered one was around there so I googled it and took a 5 minute. detour. It was a long time ago though. It was my lady's fault too, told her we should go there and she laughed and said I would never step foot in a Piggly Wiggly in north BR. Had to prove her wrong.
