Nah, im pretty darn sure if I was tasting blind I would have the exact same response - at least based on the bottles I've had previously. I haven't had any of the latest and greatest W12 batch you Baws have been discussing.

Everyone's tastebuds are different. I know I have mentioned this several times, and I only repeat it because it was shocking, but WL12 was consensus worst in a blind tasting we did. Had the weakest finish (in our opinions) of the ones we tasted. That said I still think it's great stuff, especially for the price. Now if it was twice as much I'm not sure I would go for it

So would mixing Old Rip and Lot B constitute "Middle Class Man's Pappy"?

Baws, is OWA on da shelf anywhere right now around BR? Not for me, I'm loaded up. But my father in law is asking.

Haven't seen it in a very long time in BR. I have been nursing these in the meantime.

It's sad that I came across two ETL down here in Boynton beach and was excited that they were "only" 42.99 .

I remember when.....but were probably the last two ETL's in palm beach county

A little something different for the OF crowd.
The Whiskey Smash- a 19th century cocktail.

2 oz BT
1/2 lemon
2 sprigs fresh mint
1/2 oz simple (1:1)
Muddle well shake w/ ice. Strain over fresh cracked ice. Enjoy!

Big fan of the Whiskey Smash. Had my first one at Colonial Williamsburg last year and been hooked since.

Big fan also. Those that say "it's too hot for brown " during summer etc should try the Smash and the whiskey soda. Very refreshing.
