Correct. I had a couple bottles held for me at some places. I could have gotten a bunch more, but I have a bunch from going to MS already.

However, it is on the shelf at Dorignacs...for $50!

Saw that today. They have Weller 12 and Antique for $50 each. Not so much Poor Man's Pappy there anymore.

There any other 4 roses barrel proofs in NOLA? The only one i saw at Dorignacs was there OBSF. Anyone had that one? There OBSV was real good. Any others in the city?

I will introduce you to my guys tomorrow. It will get easier for you to get bottles from there.

What bottles are you looking for?

Sweet. Should have just said selecting some bottles. Don't have anything in particular in mind. Definitely bringing a bottle of Eagle Rare 10 and PMP. Want to bring a nice Barrel Proof as well. And maybe a Rye. Who knows after tomorrow night maybe a Single Malt. Ha.

Did anyone else get an email a little while ago from Caskers saying Pappy 23 was back in stock?

It'll either be a raffle involving 500k ppl or it'll be $1500 per bottle.

They did the same thing a few months ago. You go to the site, it's priced at $200 but not in stock. I think it's just a massive troll job.

I got it, also got it a couple months back. Think the last time it happened it was a mistake on the distributor's part cause I know it showed up as available on some local store order forms

Anybody tried the Wild Turkey Master's Keep? A guy set me a bottle back if I want it. Seems to get good reviews but it is pricey.

OPD
no cold beer in the fridge. Oh well, this is one of my favorite pours. I would say this was my "gateway bourbon" along with Makers.

I have tried it. I thought it was really good. But not $150 per bottle good.

I wasn't overly impressed with the Master's Keep when I sampled a while back. But I'm not crazy about too many of the offerings from the bird.

Thoughts on 2014 vs 2013? I've tried 2013 but haven't been able to get my hands on '14. Haven't heard great things about '15 so far. It's like a 5.5 at the bar, I'm not going to turn it down if it comes my way, but won't be heartbroken if I miss out on it.

Appreciate it guys. A lot of these distilleries were barely scraping by for so long so they know what hard times are. I think they are trying to get it while they can. Which I have no problem with.

I really like Wild Turkey so I think I'm gonna eventually pull the trigger on the Master's keep

I thought the Masters Keep was phenomenal. I definitely approved of it. Would love to snag a bottle one day.

1PD: HW American Prairie Reserve

Had the bottle sitting in my cabinet forever and figured I'd finally open it. It won't blow you away but not bad.

ETA: On second that, this is fairly below average. On the bright side, I guess I've found my new old fashioned bottle.
