Do you guys have any preference between the batches of EH Taylor barrel proof?
I haven't had the 4th dump yet but I've had the others. In my opinion the differences are pretty subtle. Nothing to really seek one version out over the others. They are all just really good.

Not bad. I don't pretend to have a refined palate in this discussion. Here's what I'll say -- head to head with Wild Turkey Rye, the High West is absolutely better. It had some more subtle flavors and complexity. But damned if I didn't like the Wild Turkey better. It was just sweeter, it evoked some vanilla flavors, and I liked that. Personal preference. That was what I was looking for. But when I adapted each pour into a half-assed Manhattan, the Double Rye stood out. So. Take that for what it is. To me the kicker is that the Wild Turkey Rye is about $20 whereas the Double Rye was $33.
I thought the shitty one drank a little better.
If it were Son of Bourye it wouldn't be a question. I love that one. It's much better. But it's my uncultured palate speaking.
