Nice dude. Just bought a set of the bullets for my FiL.

FPD: Russell Reserve Rye. Normally I can't stand Rye, but this one is solid.

Four Roses Burboun.

Thoughts?

I had an Old Fashioned made two weeks ago for me. It was excellent. Since it was made properly with minimal ingredients I assume Four Roses is delicious?

Four roses single barrel gets high accolades around here. And rightfully so.

Welcome

Blanton's has been harder to come by for some folks...and I hadn't had that Willett in a couple years, gotta give it another try

Don't worry about your liver...with limited bottle allocations this fall, you'll be able to trade it for a George T Stagg...

This is a bit like asking is "beer" good? There are many levels of Four Roses that IMHO range from fairly poor (standard regular four roses) all the way up to quite delicious (single barrel). Within the single barrels there are even different mash bills (basic ingredients used to make bourbon) that are different and cause a different flavor.

The best thing to do is try a few and see what you think.

I agree with SMS. My suggestion would be to skip the Yellow Label. Buy a bottle of Small Batch for $30. If you like that then spend $40 on a bottle of Single Barrel. If you like that then you can start going after the Single Barrel recipes that are barrel proof and run about $55 each.

Finally got my dick beaters on a bottle of Weller Antique, and will be making some PMP. Is there a consensus "best" ratio? Was planning on doing 60/40 for my first. Preciate any help
