Solid barrel strength. I am not always the biggest fan of barrel strength but this one was more subtle than most.

Flavor was solid but not outstanding. Finish was incredibly long.

A solid whiskey but a step behind the Old Scout Single Barrel.

Oh... And BTW: Mrs. SMS was not a fan of the paddle...

You must be doing it wrong.

You have to use short and swift strikes to the lower inner cheeks. This will produce a loud slapping noise with each strike. Stay away from hitting the hips as this does not bring pleasure through pain or so I have been told.

Ok let's move on from that mental image and never ever come back to it.

Just to let you know, Weller 12 is around BR right now. Mathernes at Highland and Kenilworth has it for $26. They had 4 or 5 bottles on the shelf when I left today.

Just trying to help SMS make good use of that paddle. LOL.

Thanks for the tip on the Weller 12!

FPD
1st time with this one and its very nice
vanilla, lightly toasted oak, and very faint spice notes, the finish is mild with a moderate burn
hell of a buy at $36
