Those Camp Nelson RR picks have been fantastic, definitely some of my favorite bourbon this year.

Do it! That RC6 is so damn good, you don’t taste the proof at all. Makers is doing some great stuff right now.

Just finished watching “Neat” on Hulu and “Straight Up” on Amazon. Both really great documentaries on the history of bourbon, the distilleries, etc.
In the last scene of “Neat”, the old man talks about the time he got a bottle of PVW20 and opened it with his dad and brother. After pouring each of them a drink, he went to put the bottle away. His dad asked him what he was doing. His dad told him bourbon was made to share with friends and family, not sitting on a shelf waiting for a special moment to be opened.

Yep, That RC6 is too good. Neighbor and I cracked a bottle last weekend only to wake up to about 1/3 of it left after some heavy pours. Definitely going to grab another one or two while its around.

I have a grocery store by me that keeps a bunch of great burbons that most people don't know anything about. They usually keep the good stuff in a back room and I need to ask to see . They have these Makers Marks out on the counter for $85. Is it really that good? My go to is regular Makers.

It's been in the $50's where I've seen it the last two weeks. $85 is a little much, but that's just me.

i didn't know. I like 46 every once in a blue moon but for $34 for a 1/5th it's not too bad.

You might see better pricing on the cask strength version if they have it. Or one of the other stave selections.

If you are in Denham as your sidebar says, head over to Oak Point in Central or Watson. Clint has/had 2 offerings of that (Call ahead). The mocha is excellent!

I was in there earlier this week, he has some good stuff on the shelves, ask to speak with him, he might even give you a sample or two...
