Brother in law found it in Lexington. Questionable if it makes it to my house.

i had to hide my bourbon collection from my MiL after coming home and finding the single barrel 4 roses and mckenna down to like 1 pour each

i know she's a booze hound and i'm used to her killing our rum, vodka and tequila but dont TOUCH the fricking whiskey.

i spent months locating a bottle of mckenna up here and now i have to do it all over again.

cant even discuss it with the SO because she already knows and is sensitive to the subject when i bring it up. i get it..its her mom..but damn I need to vent somewhere.

we need her to babysit on date night but i'm wondering if a teenager wouldn't be cheaper.

Been there done that...my BIL killed a shorty Makers barrel proof from the distillery before they released it to the public. Mixed with diet coke to make matters worse

I know there have to be other stories out there like that

Had wife's friend watch our house during vacation last year. Wife was showing them all of the 'how-to's' of the house and then the diarrhea poured from her mouth: "..and we have a fully stocked bar so drink whatever you like!"

Thought she would go after the beer but apparently she found the Stagg Jr.

I always have an ample supply of the easily replaceable stuff like Buffalo Trace, WT101, Very Old Barton BIB, Old Forester Rye, and Eagle Rare for non-discerning guests.

MiL is no dummy either regarding 'the good stuff' but i'm going to buy some cheap crap to leave around as bait going forward and maybe she'll just think i gave up buying the more expensive stuff
