Looking for some advice. I had a great day shopping for whiskey today and was able to land 4 bottles of Eagle Rare, 1 bottle of Blanton's, 1 bottle of Weller Antique 107 and 1 of Weller 12.
So the question is should I try and make the "poor mans pappy" out of the Weller's? I tried both for the first time tonight and they were good so I don't want to eff up the bottles if that mix is really not that good.

Never did a PMP but I thought it was a combo is W12 and WA There are several good articles on this that show the ratio and their opinions on the results.
I need to go grab some more Belle Meade if I can find it

Nice finds!
I enjoy the PMP slightly better than the OWA, but not quite as much as the 12-year...basically, if you'd be cool with cutting your bottles in half to do it, I'd take the chance.
Personally, I prefer 50/50 over 60/40...and let that stuff sit for a couple of weeks if you do so.

I like PMP over 12 or 107, not that they are bad alone. I just like the mix...50/50...after about a week or two of sitting.

Make it at 50/50, then add a few ounces of Stagg Jr. to kick the proof up. And like GT said, let it sit at least 2 weeks. Good stuff.

quick question: is the KY OWL experiment over? can you only find that on the secondary market now? i have been looking for it since someone on here mentioned it last year and have yet to locate a bottle.
