I see you are drinking it neat. Do you find it harsh? It didn’t smooth out until I added an ice ball.

Do you keep your empties? If not, I’ll take that Saz18 off your hands (if you are in the BR area)

I have an art idea in my head. I want one of each BTAC, all Pappyz, and other rare bottles.

So far I have pvw12, pvw20 (almost), THH (not opened yet). I wish I had kept the rvw10 I drank last year.

Splash of water or small ice ball. I just couldn’t do it neat.

I found this but it looks like shite. I am thinking a base wide enough for three bottles, one being the lamp, the other two for actual bottles

Hey all newbie to this thread. Tried to find some owl or McKenna before Christmas with no luck but the wife surprised me with this. Never heard of it but I'm excited to try it.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Not sure if your are serious about being new to the thread, as much as you post on TD, or of never hearing of Blanton’s.

If true, welcome. You done messed up now, A-A-Ron.

Blantons is a very good, garden variety bourbon. It’s a little over priced right now do to a shortage. It’s is good in all forms, neat, rocks, old fashion, etc.

As for finding Owl and McKenna, you should have no problem finding McKenna, great pour at even a better price.

You probably won’t find Owl on the shelf (or on the shelf for under $180). It’s a limited bottle.

Recently started enjoying bourbon more than just the occasional 4 roses or Jack.

I know Ricky Blanton.

But no, I hadn't heard of it. The wife was very excited to find it so I don't want to hurt her feelings. I'm guessing the liquor store owner talked her into it.

Yeah for some reason all the liquor stores here in TN just laugh when I mention McKenna and say they only get 1-2 bottles a month now because it's exploded in popularity.

Finding Blanton’s on the shelf the last 1.5 years has been tough. As far as McKenna, I was at the store in Covington. They had 14 bottles on the shelf (he was stocking it as I walked up) and he said he had another case in back.

I paid $130 the day after Thanksgiving, and thought it was little high (until I tasted it)

I swear the one on Metairie had it at 160 a month or so ago.

You can get it shipped on secondary for 160-170. I'd buy at 130.
