This mornings haul...
About 4 people in line at 9 when the store opened. I was the only person that bought a set. A couple of Hipsters bought all the Lagavulin. I am sure it is headed to Ebay. They had 17 sets left. A guy walks in and ask about the Lagavulin post Hipster clear the shelves. He was pissed, cussed the guy at the counter out when he found out he had to buy a set to get it, Went to load up and Hipster dudes sold him one for $125

It was around $400. The sales reps from the distributor were there. I asked if they had sampled any and they had not. Just looking at the info, I think the Lagavulin bottled at 46% and the Clynelish bottled at about 51% should be the best. The others except the Talksker are only 40% and 43%. I would expect them to be slightly less flavorful. Whenever the final season starts I will open them.

So this store was one of 5 in the state that recieved them. He had 18 sets. He told me last week they were $359 but he didnt account for the 8th bottle which was $65 bucks. For once it payed to be in Ohio cause the state sets the price and they are not allowed to sell above MSRP. I did some digging and on Whiskybase the Lag, Clynelish and Talisker are all rated at about 86 out of 100. with just a few reviews. No scores for other bottles yet. There are some crazy folks on Ebay looking to flip sets for $1500.

Dalwhinnie, Talisker, and Lag were the standouts (i have all except the Oban)

That right there is why I drive 30 minutes one way to shop versus 5. These folks get it. And come on Unc, it’s not like I can roll up into NuNu’s and roll out with a bottle of their Pappiez. No8 has my picture posted all over the store with “We Shoot Poachers” scrawled across the bottom.

The Oban is all over the FB Secondary groups right now for around $100 shipped give or take (if you don’t score locally)

Agreed.. But if Nunu’s had a raffle, their liquor guys would never be on the internet telling out of towners they’re not really welcomed... Pretty classless IMHO.. But their store, their rules. 
Krewe De Laffy has gone to Calandros for several years now, and I think, has netted 1 bottle.
