They did a nice job with the Baw’s Juice...

I’ll hold the upcoming TD juice to an even higher standard...better be like 4A

If it's the regular it's decent. The best Woodfords I've had so far are store picks. Particularly The Cove pick.

C917 is pretty durn good. It feels less viscous than some of my older bottle batches but still carries the explosive flavors that ECBP is known for. I'll pick up bottles as I see em.

might get crucified for this because I haven't seen many flavoured whiskeys on this thread but I've taken a liking to ole smoky salty caramel. I've gotten it from hokus pokus. Good with just a little ice or straight.

Want to go to their distillery and get some of their butterscotch that's only sold there.

Hey guys, been enjoying the thread since November. Just curious about the etiquette about buying, selling, or trading bottles on here? Or is that frowned upon?

TD, in general, is frowned upon to sell stuff. Chicken isn't a fan. If you have a bottle or 2 to move it would probably slip through the cracks, but if you move a lot of bottles, you should do so on the secondhand market...

Double Double

I haven't acquired the double double since it's pretty much a distillery shop purchase. Word from the bird is that it's a big oak bomb so if you like oaky brown then this should satisfy. It's already sitting at a low 90.4 proof so it's probably best neat. Adding water may dilute it too much. If anyone has had the double double Woodford holler your opinions.

I just got back from a long weekend on the Bourbon Trail. We ended up visiting Heaven Hill, Barton 1792, Buffalo Trace, Four Roses, and Woodford Reserve.

It was probably due to uninformed expectations, but I was really hoping that each of these places had more to offer in their gift shops than one will normally find at a good liquor store, but for the most part it was just standard fare.

That said, I did walk away from Four Roses and Woodford with some interesting purchases.

At Woodford, I grabbed the Double Double Oak and the "Batch Proof", whatever the frick that means

At Four Roses, I bought a Private Selection bottle of Single Barrel that was an E mashbill. Their typical Single Barrel is B.

Other than that, I got a handle of Buffalo Trace's vodka line. I've never actually heard of it before, so I tried it at the tasting and it was really fricking smooth. We also got several bottles of bourbon cream for gifting purposes.

Once I open these bad boys up, I'll post a review.

I toured BT and a couple guys thought they would have BTAC in the gift shop for sale. At the end of the tour when they offered the samples of Eagle Rare, BT, Bourbon Cream, White Dog and Vodka they got pissed and walked out. They actually thought they were gonna get to try some Pappy. By the time we got done I bought a couple bottles of Blantons and those guys were still asking the lady at checkout why the couldnt just buy some Pappy. They finally told her the whole thing was a rip off, mind you the tours are free at BT. I told the one guy he better grab some Blantons, (3 years ago) and he said he only wanted the BTAC stuff he didnt drink shite bourbon.

I’ve seen Dorignacs and other grocery stores have Eagle Rare select botttles. Can anyone school me on what that entails?
