Thanks TA. Came across another EHTSB and Blanton's at a Cosco of all places. Never shopped liquor there before. All the bday funds are a gone pecan but very satisfied with the haul.

BP slightly above...but I'm partial to higher proofs. I actually like the ECBP a little more than the EHT, but I do cool that 139 proof down just a hair.

Admittedly, the bottle of SB I got was at a $55 price point, so that may put the value above the $75 BP (which wasn't pricey either)

Those wider nose glasses are better for the barrel proof stuff...both for the nose and fir it to open up a bit.

I guess I'm partial to EHT SB bc it's only 55, it's readily available and it's delicious.

All that said, SB is still super legit...haven't had an EHT I haven't loved, even the Small Batch is great

TA, I actually had some of that Cork & Keg last night, too.

Hey, what did you think of Jamie's new SAOS pick? The 10 year 101.4. Man, I think it's delicious. I had it side by side with another one of Jamie's 10 years, a 102 proof from earlier this year. The new one was much better. And the older one was great to begin with.

He really nailed it this time. But i guess he's kind of known for that.

First, HBD antique. Lots of us Leo's up in here it seems.

Found a small store other day. Shelves some rare bottles compared to the big chains here in Houston. Anyway, prices looked inflated big time. Wanted $99 for Yippee. $89 for EHTSB. LOL just crazy high.

They did have some bottles of Rhetoric 22yr for $169 (750ml). How off is that? Is that what people are paying retail?

Also, first store to find WLW Antique. They want $39 (750ml) for it. Is that also jacked up?
