The Bulldog killed it when they first came to town 10+ years ago.
Their pint night, which I want to say was Wednesday evenings, was wall for wall packed full of people.
Wonder if they are still busy during the week

None of those places are where the movers and shakers go

Keep joking AbitaFan. Still waiting on you to explain why my comment was retarded, after we proved it was correct…then you disappeared.

I was moving and shaking.

Their fricking covid rules didn't help

Pint night still is solid, but not slammed like it was 10 years ago.

Do we really feel the need to call restaurants "eateries"?

Mid City Beer Garden lost me at the tail end of covid. Havent been back and will never willingly go there

Mid City Beer Garden lost me almost immediately with their high prices and lack of parking. It’s a nice place…too nice for the likes of me.
I don’t know what Mid City was doing during Covid, but the Bulldog had this weird “floor is lava” esque policy with masks.

Mandina's was at Jefferson Hwy and Old Hammond Hwy, where Velvet Cactus is now. So I guess you can count Velvet Cactus too?
The old Chalet Brandt then it was in the old Calendars on Perkins.

Some of y’all on this board have a real problem with vocabulary, don’t y’all?
I felt eateries was more encompassing of fast food restaurants, small mom and pop restaurants, National chains born in NO, etc.
And eatery is a word defined in the dictionary, as is movers and shakers.
eat·er·y

plural noun: eateries
a restaurant or other place where people can be served food.

You’re super horny for the dictionary baw. Did a scout master named Webster take your virginity or something?

We went a few months ago on a Sunday afternoon. Place was pretty dead and the hostess ran after me as I walked in to make sure I had a mask on like I was walking in with the black plague. Umm youre an outside beer garden. They wouldnt let us go to the bar. They sat us in some small arse booth and had us wait for a waitress to order anything. She didnt show up and we all just left. Havent been back.
Plus, an outside place where you cant smoke. Screw all that

The Bulldog closed in BR?
Posted on 7/18/22 at 9:20 pm to tigerinthebueche
No, I had it on the wrong list. Fixed.

Mid City Beer Garden bought the house behind the restaurant, demolished it and expanded the parking lot. That’s improved parking 100%.
I live super close, so I go there frequently. I just wish the food and the TV setup were a little better. (There aren’t quite enough TVs and the sight lines are fricked up. Like there are maybe four seats at the bar where you have unobstructed views of the TVs.)
