Amazon seems like it has a nice deal on the primo as well as bbqguys.com. where's the best place to purchase?

Don't know about prices, but Goodwood Hardware across from Towne Center in Baton Rouge has all of these upscale grills on display in their store. Great place to comparison-shop even if you buy elsewhere.

dont know about the others but BGE has to be bought from an authorized retailer or no warranty so be wary shopping online.

I got my Kamado Joe at Shoppers choice in BR.............they carry all the big brands.............Primo, BGE, Kamado Joe and Grill Dome.
They also have some different tables and all of the accessories.
Oh, and they have a demo of each set up outside that they will let you demo. You can bring some meat and just fire it up.

I don't know if I'd buy someting like that online. Basil's hardware on Transcontintal and there's a place on Vets. a half block from Bonnabel that sell cooking appliances and grills.
Marchand's on Division did sell Kammado Joes a
while back.
In Covington north of town there's a pool supply store that sold Primo grills.
Oh, right now the Sam's in Kenner is selling the BGE Large for $899.00. If you buy there make sure to look into the warranty coverage after buying from Sam's. Check with BGE Co.
Sometimes that affects the warranty coverage.

Basil's in Metairie or Outdoor Living Center in Covington are the only BGE dealers I know of in the Nola area.

When we get one, I'll let you know. I'm actually looking to change careers after 23 years. I'll be taking Ptech classes starting in May.

I'd much rather BGE factory warranty

Bbqguys.com is shoppers choice. There is nothing special about the BGE. I would say the Primo, Kamado Joe, and BGE are the top 3. I would go primo.

Shoppers Choice sell BGE at their store on Coursey

I bought a new primo jr on ebay w/ nearly all the accessories you would want (except pizza stone) and paid a lot less than I would have if I had bought it in store. I'm not even considering taxes either. Shipping was free. You will have a hard time finding a BGE or KJ on ebay.
Just look there and have some patience, and you will get a good deal on a primo. I love mine.
ETA: I also purchased it from a primo retailer out of Illinois.

Contractors Discount on Albany st in Kenner usually has better BGE prices than other Nola dealers.

I think that's about to stop soon. My family owns a store that is an authorized dealer, we were warned to be on the look out for anyone buying 5+ eggs because it is Sam's and they are trying to undercut small retailers like us who have to sell at a certain price as mandated by BGE. Pretty sure BGE is going to try to put an end to it though...or like I said, just tell people not to sell a bunch to one person maybe.
