One of their locations closed. Had the nicest host / owner. He would always take care of us and we made it a point to eat at Momo’s every time we came into town, which was at least twice a month.

Neighborhood Services is the most consistent production of good quality without getting insane with prices. Go to Lovers Lane or Addison locations.

Te Deseo is a Latin spot down by the AAC in Downtown. It’s legit. If there with 3-4, get the meat board sampler.

Dallas has a million good spots, but I’m unsure how covid has impacted the scene.

Best Mexican is either Mia's or Desperados. Both are old school texmex. Meso Maya is a good mexmex place but pricey. There are tons of great taco places.Trompo in Bishop Arts, el Si Hay at the edge of Bishop Arts is authentic street tacos, no seats here and people line up for their food. Velvet Taco is a gringo taco place but very good. But it's not traditional but more fusion. They have Kobe beef tacos, falafel tacos, ahi tuna tacos, Cuban tacos.....it's very good. Revolver tacos in deep ellum got a James beard nomination.

They have multiple locations right? Pretty sure there's one on Greenville up by SMU

Also, for being a chain and cheap, I like tacos y mas. You can go pick up $5 worth of tacos quick and i like them

That’s R Taco, formerly Rusty Taco. It’s owned by Arby’s now. It’s not the same. Revolver is only the place in deep ellum.

Velvet is damn good for random ingredient tacos. The Cuban, shredded beef, chicken tikka, shrimp and grits, etc are so good.

Aside from Mi Cocina, I think Javier’s is great

LOL I have Mia's at my desk. I've never been to Desperados or el Si Hay. I'll have to check that out I'm a big street taco fan. My personal favorite in town is the Fuel City stand downtown.

Velvet Taco is very fufu but I do have to admit it's a fun place to go every once in a while.

Edit: I'll second Javier's. That place is fun for a date night.

Mia’s is great. Desperados was my favorite. Their crab meat enchiladas are ridiculous.

I like Javiers too even if it is a “be seen in Dallas” place. The quail is very good.

I lived in the village for 3 years and never went there because Desperados was basically next door then they built a velvet taco on the other side.

Milo butterfingers across the street is a great shithole/dive though it will fill up with SMU kids later in the night.

I don't know about the rest of their menu, because I never order anything else except for their brisket tacos.

So true. I've caught it a few times when it wasn't crowded so you can avoid that crowd if you go at the right times.

Bandito's isn't bad either I used to always go out there for dinner.
