Some side of the road guy? Grocery store near you? Grow it yourself?

When I was young I remember my dad and I driving down past Houma in the summers to some farm and taking back 100's of sacks for friends and family in town.

I don't remember the last time I've eaten fresh corn and have had a hankering for it lately.

Grow it myself. Well, really I help my father in law plant and grow it. We've had more corn than we know what to do with this summer. We were picking it almost every day a few weeks ago. Finally just bush hogged the field last week. Everyone we know was sick of us asking if they wanted any.

Rouses. They usually have the bi-color corn and it is sweet as can be. There must have been a bumper crop of corn last year since they were selling it at 6 ears for $1 for a few weeks.

No, because it isn't under refrigeration and is probably dried out.

Best I got this year was from your buddy. Pretty good stuff. Lots of it in the freezer that I hope to eat later this year, when my keto diet is over.

Somewhat. Some folks here live on their property where they grow their corn. They sell it during the season. They don't pick every day, so I have to watch for them to announce it on Facebook. You have to get there pretty much first thing in the morning as soon as they've picked that day or they will sell out. It was great this year.

Father in law is a rice farmer who grows a corn crop just for fun. Always fills a deep freezer for the year
