I get mine at Rouses in Daphne, AL but some on here around the BR area say they can't find it at their local Rouses.

If you are using one of those large 120 quart pots I would use 24 ounces of liquid Zatarain and 1-1/2 to 2 cups of cayenne along with 2 bags of Chackbay and 2 boxes of salt.

Shouldn't the size of the pot not matter if you are just covering the bugs with enough water?

In theory yes but it's been my experience people always put a whole lot more water than they need when using a much bigger pot.

I have a line one mine now thats where I got too almost every time but I usually put a sack in the basket and test it. Its also another good final rinse. Ill change out the water after I test fit.

That's the best way to do it. I've been cooking in my pot so long though that it has one of those lines that you just mentioned. I think my pot is 30 years old.

Chackbay is on Amazon, one day ship it

Yeah, for $20! That's insane. Who the hell pays that much for crawfish seasoning? There's plenty of good stuff out there for less than half the cost. If you are doing a big boil, that adds up quick.

Not saying it isn't great seasoning, but it does add up when you have multiple people suggesting using multiple bags of it plus Salt and liquid boil for 1 pot boil. I generally don't add any extra salt and 1 half a bottle of liquid when using my preferred seasoning.

For those looking for Chinese Red Pepper its usually on the shelf packaged by Cajunland next to the Cajunland crawfish boil.

Not as easy to get outside Louisiana. I like trying stuff, it's a lot more expensive for me to drive somewhere it's available than to ship on Amazon.

I usually buy a bunch when I go down to visit family.

$3 per sack extra for a flavor that's tough to beat.

Worth every penny.

Yeah, I called Tony's today and they said they don't have it anymore. The lady said they hadn't sold it in quite some time. She might have been mistaken, but she sounded like she knew what I was talking about.

Place I get it never keeps more than a dozen on the shelf at a time. You gotta ask if you don't see it.
