Rotolo's is criminally underrated on this board

Red Zeppelin is also very good

Whole foods is a solid third place option

All are much better than Fleur De Lis tbh.

Rotolos is less than a shell of what it originally was now that it had expanded everywhere. It is slightly above frozen pizza in my opinion.

Schlitz and Giggles off Perkins has always been my goto drunk pizza. It's also still pretty good when sober. I find the quality there to be much better than the downtown location.

Mellow seemed to have dipped in quality over the past few years but has been excellent the past few times I've been recently.

If you find yourself in the Prairieville area Roma is the best.

Food snobs will mock, but Carrabba's has very good pizza.

I am sorry that you think that shite-hole Fleur De Lis is "good" pizza. I also recommend Red Zeppelin. No place down here has truly great pizza but theirs is pretty good.

BJ's is a last resort for the corporate chains.

I don't live in Louisiana anymore and probably haven't eaten Rotolos in 3 years, so forgive me if its dropped off in quality.

I know a few years back I would have put it up against any pizza in town though. Baton Rouge has never been a great pizza place. Is Roma's in Prarieville still putting out good pizza?

OK so I got to-go orders from both Red Zeppelin and Grimaldi's, and sorry, but I prefer Grimaldi's, and it really wasn't close. Red Zeppelin was loaded with toppings and the crust couldn't hold it. Grimaldi's had a very good chewy crust which remained firm and didn't "flop" under the weight of its toppings. The Grimaldi's red sauce was superior, as well. Each pizza cost $22, but Grimaldi's was 18" and RZ was 16". RZ just didn't impress me much.

Roma's has a new location, and a new owner. The guy who used to run it (Omar) is no longer there.
