Please don't go here. Support your local liquor stores rather than putting them out of business by dropping your coin at the WalMart of liquors.

Martins
BinQ
Calandros

These all have great selections at good prices. Go there instead.

Went there Saturday. It’s a nice store. It has everything you could ever imagine for drinking. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Calandros acts like they’re doing you a favor to tell you where something is. Not rude, but not eager, either. Q-Bin (Cuban liquor) has always had a good selection. High priced, even if it’s not high end. But they’re friendly and eager to assist.

Mom and pop don’t have to worry about Total Wine. Their location will be their undoing if BR and Siegen Lane continue trending as they are.

Same is true for Martins, BinQ, Hokus and Calandros. Does TW have a larger selection overall than any of these stores? Of course, because it's a massive box store for liquor. Most of their stuff is sourced out wine and liquor that they rebrand with some cool name and labelling, and then the helpful staff recommends that to you when you ask what's good. Yeah they are nice, but they are also selling you subpar products as premium suggestions.

Support your local businesses please and ignore people like tigerinthebueche. We don't need more corporate box stores closing down our neighbors' small businesses.

Are you a Calandro? I Don’t know why you're so pissy about my Review. I didn’t hate on Calndros. I simply stated my overall experience having shopped for liquor there for the last four or five years. Like it or not, you’re liquor department isn’t the most effusive bunch IME.
Sorry you’re feeling threatened by TW. But being defensive about it won’t help your cause.

Any particular preference on type? Scotch, bourbon, etc?

What do you consider high-end?

Use Frootbat and Woodencork online.. Most stores are overpriced and don't carry what the web has.

Call all the places and find out who has Fortaleza. It's not too expensive at around $40-50, and it's better than most $90-100 bottles. It's limited in quantities, since the producers use old school stone wheel techniques to make it, so it can be challenging to find at times. One of the places should have it though. You won't be disappointed.

Total Wine is fine for anything except bourbon, they won’t have anything worth getting excited about.

Martins has best prices, skip Bin-Q all together. Oakpoint does a nice job,

I love when someone just outright makes a statement like this about what someone has experienced in real life lol
