Also, reusable bag nazi, do you also use handkerchiefs instead of kleenex and no paper towels?

Nazi?? I simply stated my preference for them and asked yours.
I use paper towels. Is that okay with you?
I use reusable water bottles. We keeping score or what? Believe it or not, they are plastic (bpa free, mind you) bottles.

Generally use the cloth bags just for wine. They should be washed every couple of weeks or so or they will collect a lot of bacteria. Use a lot of paper and save them to put recyclables in (lots of beer cans and old newspaper).

Plastic or paper, whatever is available. Doubt I'll ever use reusable unless someone makes me.

I use new plastic bags each time I purchase groceries, just like your Doctor uses new latex gloves and hypodermic needles on you. It's a necessary evil. There are other ways to conserve. Some modern things just make sense.

They are banned in Los Angeles, and you have to pay 10 cents for each paper bag at a lot of places in Los Angeles so reusables are my go to. And they are a lot stronger. Street parking is a bitch out here, there's no telling how far I'm going to have to carry them

I do if I remember to being them with me. But I also use the plastic ones to line the tras can in my bathroom, take my lunch, or to wrap things in. So my plastic bags don't go to waste.

I'm going to start bringing my own bag. Nothing pisses me off at the grocery more than getting 4 plastic bags for the 7 things I just bought. Sometimes I'll ask for paper but oftentimes they have to look for bags or it otherwise takes them longer to bag.

pretty sure i read somewhere that the impact on the environment of producing the reusable bags is 100x the impact of producing a plastic bag
therefore, you'd have to reuse that bag 100x before it became beneficial to the environment

When it comes to reusable bags, some have argued they are the better solution. Life cycle studies, like the one conducted by the UK Environment Agency, compared various products and found that a standard reusable cotton grocery bag must be reused 131 times to ensure it has a “lower global warming potential” than a single use of one plastic bag.

Plastic bags, I reuse them for bringing lunch to work or for picking up dog turds.

Very interesting. Luckily I will use mine far more than 100x and have probably done so already.

Paper or plastic.
I reuse the plastic ones for trash can liners, car trash bags, and bringing lunch to work.
I ask them to put as much as they can in each bag.
Resusable are only practical if you do small shopping outings. I'm not bringing in 10+ bags for a family shopping.
