16%...was seasoned in oak barrels that aged whiskey.. Can't remember the name but it was akin to drinking a chocolate porter with a shot of bourbon dropped in..

I had a beer that was 15% in Florida. It was from one of the Illinois breweries. Forget which one. It was oak aged and very good. But its fricking illegal to sell beer with ABV over 14% in Georgia.

I hate antiquated drinking laws.

Highest I've had was the 18% Brew Dogs Tokyo.

You can get liquor, but there's a limit on ABV in beer? What kind of sense does that make???

It's dumb but lots of states have these laws, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and North Carolina off of the top of my head.

EDIT: Brewdog Tactical Nuclear Penguin, former world record holder, 32%

I guess the highest ABV beer I've had is Firestone Walker parabola at 13%. It's also my favorite beer I've ever had.

They told my why but I forgot. I'm assuming it has something to do with not tasting as alcoholic as it is. It used to be worse. It used to be 6% supposedly.
