he bologna sandwich is “chef’y” thick cut bologna if that makes a difference
Thick cut bologna is anything but "chef'y". Been used for a while at Memphis BBQ joints.

So your review is that you read the menu, didn't like what you saw, so you didn't eat there.

Think the OP was asking what the deal was and not posting a review.

Here's the deal: they make very tasty unusual sandwiches with great ingredients and good drinks. It is also run by hipsters that have done extremely well for themselves playing the social media/PR game.

By “chef’y”, (notice the quotations bc I’m aware its still bologna) I meant that it is a quality product made by a chef, leighann smith of Piece of meat butcher, and cut as a substantial piece. I was saying it wasn’t just thin Oscar Meyer bologna between bread.

I literally checed the date on these posts 4 times, and looked at it very slowly. I was thinking this must have been an old bumped thread. Random that a T&W thread in 2019 would bring you guys out of hiding

Turkey and the Wolf is good, but vastly overrated on the "national scene".

I’m not generally a salad guy for an entree but the wedge salad at T&W is amazing. They get a 10/10 on presentation, although it probably had more calories than anything else on the menu with all the bacon they put on that thing.

Milk bar is my go to for sandwiches that aren't poboys.
I've never even as a kid liked balogna.
I was just curious of the hype given limited options and odd choices.
I would have got the ham sandwich, they didn't have that.

The wedge salad, bologna sandwich, and hogs head cheese tacos are all FANTASTIC.
if you’re scared off by a hipster scene though, this isn’t the place for you.
