Not really a N.O. Cuisine type restaurant but I miss Kyoto. They had a few unique rolls that I havent found elsewhere

Wild south was great, sad they closed as well.

My friend worked at Rue. I used to eat in her section all the time. Was a cool tiny place. That rabbit dish they had was really good.

A few others should be mentioned as I have fond memories of both:
Mama Rosa’s Pizza on North Rampart. They kept me alive during school back in the 80s. Great pizza and very filling. A lot of people were scared to go there because of the AIDS at the time. It was always great.
G&E Courtyard Grill on Decatur. Very small but very high end for me at the time. I forgot who the chef was but he was pretty acclaimed as I recall.

Loved getting drinks at Cavan
Always enjoyed Red's Chinese when we ventured that direction but I remember it being hot af in there
Blue Giant was good but I know they pissed a lot of people off
