I don’t know how they haven’t had to tweak their slaw, potatoe sald or macaroni recipe yet,

I gave up on the macaroni after two attempts. Never tried the slaw or potato salad.

Buffalo inferno, Brussels, and if they’re doing the beef rib as the special, one of those to go.

I do know for a fact that Ronnie had to refinance the business loan when busbeepbeep moved to Houston.

There is a menu items that’s called

All Meats All Sides for like 58 bucks.
Depending on your party size that may not be a terrible option.

I like The pulled pork.

I like The brisket.

If u like fatty brisket... or the fat cap from a ribeye.... get the fatty brisket. It’s as close to Pit Room, Pinkertons or Gatlins that u can get in Louisiana.

Looks like everything it is. I’m a wing guy so that’s a must. Then ribs are my next. Wife likes brisket and pulled pork and we’ll probably end up with 4 sides bcs I want to try everything. And if the special of the day looks good, I’ll probably get that too. We’re staying at the Roosevelt and they have a full size fridge in our room so we’ll need some leftovers for 4th meal.

I like the way you do business

Gatlin's is dog food

Blue Oak's brisket is better than Pit Room
Pinkerton's is solid

Truth and Feges on another level though.

I need to try the wings, buffalo and king pao. Had the brisket philly cheese which was just ok. Pork sammich was to die for. Chicken sandwich is on the list to try.

I found the brussel sprouts to be too charred, would not get again.

How is this place compared to The Joint? I've heard good things but have yet to try it. Normally, I stay at my uncle's apartment in the Quarter so The Joint is just a short drive/bike ride away so I'll grab a 3-meat plate with brisket, sausage, pulled pork and corn grits. Been wanting to try Blue Oak though.

3 meat, double wings (inferno), fatty brisket, either double sprouts or sprouts + side of the day.

Best BBQ I've ever had by miles. Would be interested to see how some of the BBQ fanboys stack BO against the competition outside of LA.
