I’m on a low carb diet and looking at using store bought roast beef as a snack?

I don’t care for Boars Head and I haven’t found any I particularly care for-and I count carbs as well. I bought a big top sirloin from Costco-about 9.5 lbs and roasted to medium rare in oven. Wrapped in plastic wrap, refrigerated and sliced thin the next day. Cheaper and I like it better since it’s not injected and cooked how I like.

I also have an old Food Saver electric deli slicer that I inherited either from my mother or mother in law and I use it to slice. But a good sharp knife is fine.

This isn’t responsive, but it’s super easy to make your own.

I make this every couple of months when I’m craving roast beef sandwiches.

I literally stopped going there because they could never explain why it was never available...and then they'd be happy to sell you some other rare roast beef at double the price.

They'd have the in house well done roast beef every freaking time and it made zero sense. Seems like it would take less time to churn out a bunch of barely cooked meat!

This was years ago, though, so maybe they got their act together, I dunno.

Four Star Cajun roast beef by Manda. It's the only reason I go into a Winn Dixie.

Definitely...but that ham can't touch John Morrell EZ Cut. And I've never found a deli roast beef I really liked. Several were just serviceable. Rouses Cajun Fried Turkey breast is my go to deli meat right now.
