I'm going to need a little more virtue signaling on that bag of rice. Thanks.

Not sure the story, but I bought it because it was the only brown rice left at the store one day and I liked it so much it's what I buy now.

The story is it’s the 4 Kennedy sisters, children of rice farmer Elton Kennedy from Mer Rouge LA, brand of rice. It is excellent rice. Was formerly branded under the name Kencheaux. Keep buying it and keep supporting a great local company that plays a vital role in the NELA economy

Cajun Country has a specialty grain called Toro. That's the best.

Toro

Other than that, I typically have brand loyalty to Supreme because I have a cousin that sells to them.

I guess I’m a simpleton. I like that Zatarains long grain rice and I like that jasmine rice I buy from my local Asian supermarket. I use that one for stuff like shrimp fried rice. I buy some basmati rice occasionally just to change things up because it smells good.

Going to check this out. I usually get Cajun Country to support local. Where can you buy Toro? Online or in store

I think the Falcon family mill has started distributing Toro in more places. Here in BR, I've been able to find it at Albertson's and Calandro's.
