The one on Airline next to Rouses has vehicles looped around the building and all the way back to the hwy. Is this some kind of new fad drink?

Soda shops are all the rage right now in other cities.
I'm told they are good and I wouldn't mind trying it, but I cannot see myself going to buy a soda more than once or twice.

It was super popular when it opened in Fort Worth. These little places are popular now, like Swig, Dutch Bros, Bahama Bucks?.
Swig is soda mixed with flavors to have a unique drink.
My daughter I think liked one with Dr Pepper and coconut flavor cream.

Like frozen yogurt shops in 2011.

Never heard of the place. But, I can't imagine it's worth waiting 30 minutes in a drive thru for.

It's for kids/teens.
Used to take mine to one every Friday after school. They'd get theirs, and I'd get my coke and coconut/cherry then come home and pour some rum in it.

It's Mormon shite. Been in Utah for a long time. I think they just opened up some places in Louisiana.
It's soda with fruit purees and other shite you can mix in. Never had it, but there's one on every corner here.

We stopped at one in Lafayette when we went tour ULL. It was good. Not something I would get all of the time.

I didn't know what it was until my wife pulled into the drive thru a while back. She ordered then asked me if I wanted anything. After staring partially confused at the menu for 20 seconds, I just said "No".
I don't get it how it makes money. It's a brick and mortar that just sells soft drinks?

Hardly anywhere has the freestyle machines anymore and a couple of places that do are so flat they are undrinkable. I miss them.

My friend is partners with the group that owns the 7brews in Dallas, Atlanta, parts of Ohio and Washington state. 70 current operating and 80 more over the next year. Swig and 7B have very similar models. Modular build on outparcel space, with an average check at $8. Average stand revenue $2.5M/yr, some doing $5M. They both target students, white suburban Moms. I tell my friend "That sugary, sweet, flavored coffee for $6 can't compete with my home brewed black cup of CC dark roast for 40 cents". His reply, "great cause old white guys are not our market". You will notice they build by Targets, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's in white suburban middle/upper communities. Similar to Starbucks.
Solid margins, Very profitable.
