This... I don't get the I only drink GOOD beer mentality I mean I've found some great ones, but that don't mean I scoff at any of the stuff I used to drink. It's just like I've been to some pretty top notch steak houses, but can still enjoy the hell out of a $10 sirloin...just sounds exhausting to be so hoity toity about every damn thing

For me it doesn't have anything to do with that and prior to availability of craft beer I was drinking mostly beer from Europe.

I think bud light and anything along those lines taste like shite. I am not going to drink something I don't like because of convenience and accessibility.

Yea I get that...I have some beers I've never liked and never will. I was more refering to people I know who used to drink the hell out of some cheap beers and are now just too damn good for them because they drink REAL beer now.

Craft beer is an acquired taste. It takes time to get into it. Once you do, you never go back to the cheap swill.

Craft beer is the current Beenie Baby, an excellent example of creating demand through false scarcity.

If you like a particular craft beer then great, I like some as well, however to act like all craft beer is better than all mass produced beer is a bit doltish and screams look at me.

I don't get this at all. It doesn't have a strong enough taste to hate it that bad. It is a very neutral, non offending beer. Now if you say you want something with a stronger flavor, then I would agree with you.

Follow a nightly FBD to get some insight. I say nightly but who knows when the thread will start that day.

To directly answer you. Last Saints game I went to I was handed a bud light and only drank half of it and it was hard to drink the first half. Just tastes like carbonated flavored water. And when it starts to get warm it's not drinkable.

Hey, if you don't like something, you don't like something. To each their own.

No one in here or on this board says this. Your posts in here look doltish and scream look at me though.

Craft beer isn't scarce. I can go to just about any grocery store, restaurant, Total Wine and liquor store close to me and get all I want. There are some kinds that are scarce, but for the most part that isn't the case.

what?

literally every grocery store has a craft beer section these days. not only that but it's hard to find a sit down restaurant that doesn't have craft beer on draft or in cans or bottles.

good to see this thread turn into a redneck bud light circle jerk

It used to be my every day or pound town drinking beer. Then the CEO stood on a stage with Trump and said his company and his beer supported him. Ten minutes later I was pouring the better part of two 12-packs down the drain and sent a video of it to them, telling them what I thought of their shitty arse company.

I love threads like this because we can always count on two or three nerds showing up to make fun of craft beer drinkers with some kind of stupid shite.
It's like some get so mad that everyone doesn't universally like a certain beer so that's a big problem. " Oh no, the beer nerds are attacking my swill again. Time to rally"!

That reminds me, we haven't had an Abita thread in week, time for someone to start one I guess.

I got news for you, craft beer has grown a lot in the last 20 years from where it was when only very few people were drinking it or selling it.
It's every where and continuing to grow. Get used to it.

I went to a wedding last weekend that was serving commotions along with BMC. I think I was the only one drinking it but my point is that I go to very few places where bud is my only option.

I'll still drink a bud light or natty cause they taste like water but I'll be sober over drinking a high life or red dog level beer again.

I use to drink the hell out of high life too.
