It used to be my every day or pound town drinking beer. Then the CEO stood on a stage with Trump and said his company and his beer supported him. Ten minutes later I was pouring the better part of two 12-packs down the drain and sent a video of it to them, telling them what I thought of their shitty arse company
Yea that didn't happen

And not one single frick was given by Yuengling. I didn't vote for the guy but it didn't stop me from enjoying a decent cheap beer.

I drink beer because I enjoy it. A Yuengling is just empty calories and I don't really enjoy it, so I will usually go with water, instead.
If I'm out with the fellas and we're getting drunk and that's the only option, I'll drink it. As has been mentioned, it is rare that I'm stuck somewhere and I don't have any craft beer options.
My BIL is into wine. He'll drink a cheap good wine, but won't drink MD 20/20 or the like. It's not because he's a snob, but if he's not looking to get drunk, he's not going to drink waste his time drinking all those calories on something that doesn't taste good to him.
BTW - I don't drink craft beer just because it's a craft beer. There are a lot of styles of craft beer that I don't drink for the same reason - because I don't like the style. If I'm in a restaurant and they don't have a beer that I'm interested in, I will order water. It doesn't matter how many craft beers they have available. I will roll the dice and try a beer if I've never had it before, but if I don't like it, I won't order it again, even if it's the only option.

I like it, but I had Yuengling years before when I lived in Virginia.

literally every grocery store has a craft beer section these days. not only that but it's hard to find a sit down restaurant that doesn't have craft beer on draft or in cans or bottles.
True, but I would also argue it's not "false scarcity". Craft brewers are not as large as the "macrobrewers" and simply cannot create as much. Second, most of their beers require more time to create, so they have to be thoughtful about what they're making.
That being said, the overall craft beer output has exploded in recent years leading to more being available, but not all of it is good. There's a lot of shitty craft beer out there.

Virtually every craft beer I drink is american too, so that's kind of a wash

I think you agreed with him but in a very weird way.

True, and the breweries who put shitty product out seem stagnant. OTOH, NOLA, Parish, and Gnarley Barley, among others have expanded quickly or will expand.

He replied to my comment about not seeking it but settling for it with "at least it's american". That's kind of a non-starter, as every beer I drink is american...thus, my response.
ETA: unless you consider Goose Island un-American because it's owned by InBev.

If I want cheap mass produced beer, it's gonna be ice cold Shiner Bock.
