Two buck chuck here. I stopped buying it when I noticed one morning that when I went to wash out a wine glass from the previous night, I filled it with water to dissolve the wine stain at the bottom, and the water all turned blue. Like pretty damned blue. Idk if that's a common thing with other wines, but I've never noticed it anywhere else. Now I buy $6 Little Penguin.

I haven't taken a Sommelier course but if you would prefer a more descriptive summary, I'll give it my best shot.
Immediately after opening/before decanting there was minimal, if any, noticeable fruit aromas. Very high alcohol evident which covered the scent of everything else.
Color was very dark. 1st taste was at least a half hour after decanting. Very basic flavor, not at all complex. Cough Syrup is the best way I can describe it. No Oak notes whatsoever, something I prefer in a Cab. Still very little fruit. Excessive sugar.
In a blind tasting, I probably wouldn't recognize it as a Cabernet because it shows so few of the grapes characteristics, but I can guarantee that up against just about any $10 bulk wine, this would stick out like a sour grape.

%ABV doesn't necessarily correlate to whether or not the smell of alcohol is present or overpowering. I realize that you aren't concerned with the quality of the wine but you questioned my summary so I gave a response.

My neighbors buy the chardonnay by the case. It's not bad if when it's half frozen.

back in 2006 WF had a jug wine called Tres Amigos. I believe it was 1.5L and $3.99. I loved it.

I tried some Wily Jack wine awhile back that was on sale at Dorignac's for $1.99 a bottle. At that price, I wasn't worried if they turned out to be duds, so I bought 3 Cab's and 3 Zinfandel's. It turned out to be pretty decent stuff.

This is the only Franzia I've had. Practically raised on it. My issue with box wine is that when you drink from a bottle, it's easy to stop and the end of the bottle. Box wine keeps pouring and pouring.
