I think he also go the rights to sell all of the seasonings to all Popeyes.
Not sure if it was his selling of Copelands franchises, his seasoning businesses, or what, but that dude was worth a shitload of money when he died. I knew he was very much loaded, but when the numbers came out during his divorce proceedings it suprised me by how much he had.
For the life of me, I can't remember the numbers right now.

Bet-R out of sheer convenience only. You may laugh, but they will order anything I want. I used to go to this place called Bread and Circus in Arlington, VA. They were awesome, but quickly got bought by Whole Foods. I truly enjoy the European approach. When I lived a few years in Madrid, I had a butcher, bread shop, fruit stand, liquor store, pharmacy and a small grocery within a block of me.

Central Market in Houston is by far the best grocery store I've been to.

The best thing about HEB is you're not gonna beat their produce, meat & fish, and handmade tortillas.
I see all the Houston people saying HEB/Central Market but have you ever been to the Asian Supermarket off Beltway 8 around Bellaire? It's pretty awesome too.
And not this place:

I stood in the produce section staring in awe at potatoes for 5 minutes. Place is unbelievable, and it really made me feel like I/we live in the swamp.

They have tons of breads that are baked fresh that are so good... The olive bread is my favorite.. In the cheese section they have a fluffy feta marinated with peppercorns and bay leaf.. I take a slice of olive bread, a shmear of that feta and a couple slices of their black forest ham.. and I'm in heaven. It's also good if you skip the ham and top the feta with the olive and artichoke mix they have, and make a peasant sandwich.. but there's nothin' poor about it..

Hong Kong Market? I've been once, that place is like a sensory overload, but I don't know what to do with half the shite in there.

I've never been but I'll have to check it out.
If you eat raw oysters call Southwest Seafood and order a box of gold band oysters, they are the best out there by far.
