What is a chain restaurant that you would like actually like to see in your city?

I'm all for supporting a local restaurant and frequent them more than I do chains.

That said, chains do serve a purpose in terms of consistency (usually), quality, and offerings.

I realize Baton Rouge has J Alexanders (and it is solid for what it is), but I would like to see a Houston's restaurant come to the outskirts of Baton Rouge or Ascension Parish. I believe it would be successful because its price point is on the higher-end while the quality of the food usually matches it.

Also, add Pappacito's or Lupe Tortilla to the mix. They would crush it in Louisiana and specifically Baton Rouge. Only the old Ninfa's from the 90's could rival it.

For Nola, I wish we had a pluckers. Well pluckers from 15 years ago, not the crap they are serving at Bluebonnet now.

Chophouse is the best chain in Nola.

I went once to the Bluebonnet location. It was filthy, needed repairs, and the music was so loud --- and the servers were straight from North Baton Rouge.

The LSU location was (and may still be) considerably better.

I've been to the Beaumont location a handful of times. As good as it is compared to Mexican food in Louisiana, specifically Baton Rouge, the Beaumont location is not up to standards when visiting Houston or Austin. There is a considerable difference in quality.

Rudy's Country Store

I also think Maggiano's Little Italy has half decent food for a chain.

I'll have to check out the Houston location. Also, I'll add Tia Juanitas. That place is pretty good.

I completely agree, but the little that I know, I think Louisiana stands a better chance of getting Lupe than we do El Tiempo.

Yea, we might not have the proper demographics for a Torchy's either.

Is this just a silly statement or am I missing something?
