Istrouma Farms Brewing (formerly Istrouma Biere Republique)
looked like everything was heading to be a great little spot then poof. They disappear. Does anyone know what happened to them? Legal issues? Permit problems? Delays? We were looking forward to it opening.

They are getting their permits lined out. I've been told it will be opening soon. Can't wait!

Hmmm, their social media presence has been pretty much nonexistent for months. Everything went from lots of buzz to a screeching halt. I hope they do, in fact, open soon. We were looking forward to checking it out.

Istrouma Brewing would have been a kickass name. The "Farms" part just makes it dumb.

Well, considering it is literally on an old farm, it makes a lot of sense. Also,"farm" is actually the hot word these days so I would say they are striking while the iron is hot.

shite, it's in St. Gabriel, I see. They should have incorporated something to do with than rather than "Istrouma" then. Oh, well. Hope to try it out either way.

We are still prepping to launch and are getting closer everyday. We were putting things on social media like crazy, but too many people thought we were open and were coming out to have a beer that doesn't exist yet. due to this we went on a social media hiatus for a bit. When we have a firm opening date we will resume our posting on all social media outlets. We are excited to open, and can't wait to show everyone the very unique atomosphere we have created.

Who were some of your inspos? Are we to expect a Jester King like experience with onsite sources ingredients, local music, etc?

Farmhouse brewery or haze bro Mecca?

hmmm.... I don’t think any brewery located on a farm can say they don’t take some inspiration from Jesterking, but honestly I have never been. The experience we want to provide is largely inspired by a combination of the location on the farm in Louisiana, and our life experiences.
On beer we are about one thing, flavor and using our limited culinary skills to create flavors that come together to create great beers... We want to use as many local ingredients as possible but we are not afraid to go get the best ingredients we can find. We want big thick stouts, hazy juicy ipas, fruited sours, cocktail inspired beers, as well as sprinkling in a few of the basics.
Imagine a brewery on a farm in Louisiana ran by an artist, that focuses on making beers inspired by food.

Hey Wiggins,
Any chance we can get a good old-fashioned solid Amber ale? It seems to be a lost art for some reason....

Is anyone still involved with Istrouma? Are they still a thing?

I drove down Hwy 30 yesterday and there's a new silo advertising thing with their name on it. I don't remember seeing it before. I'd never even heard of them before so I came here to search.

They're opening today at 4 pm. Anyone know their hours of operation? Can't find anything online.

It’s opening really soon. They are also doing a drive in movie theater on that plot of land
