Whale spotting…
hmmm.... I don’t think any brewery located on a farm can say they don’t take some inspiration from Jesterking, but honestly I have never been. The experience we want to provide is largely inspired by a combination of the location on the farm in Louisiana, and our life experiences.
On beer we are about one thing, flavor and using our limited culinary skills to create flavors that come together to create great beers... We want to use as many local ingredients as possible but we are not afraid to go get the best ingredients we can find. We want big thick stouts, hazy juicy ipas, fruited sours, cocktail inspired beers, as well as sprinkling in a few of the basics.
Imagine a brewery on a farm in Louisiana ran by an artist, that focuses on making beers inspired by food.
We are still prepping to launch and are getting closer everyday. We were putting things on social media like crazy, but too many people thought we were open and were coming out to have a beer that doesn't exist yet. due to this we went on a social media hiatus for a bit. When we have a firm opening date we will resume our posting on all social media outlets. We are excited to open, and can't wait to show everyone the very unique atomosphere we have created.
8 bit glassware is very cool, but not the theme that Istrouma is going for. Istrouma wants to get local artist from glass blowers to painters to make unique creations for release beers. So those glasses will obviously have a premium but also be very unique.

On ig they have pictures of a belgian wit, a honey blonde, a coffee imperial stout and a hazy ipa

The goal of Istrouma is to create unique and flavorful beers that use farm grown ingredients. The goal is to always have 1/2 of the beers featuring heavy fruit or farm ingredients. The predominate styles Istrouma will feature are: heavy fruited Berliners, ipas, fruited wits, and it is always stout season.
The stouts will all be big body flavor packed pastry stouts.
The IPAs will have a heavy NEIPA focus with ridiculous dry hopping.
The fruited Berliner’s and wits will all be flavor overloads. Istrouma will never use use the terms hint or bit to describe our fruited beers.
Istrouma will also have some more classic light beers like blondes and pils.
It will also strive to branch into new experimental styles from fruited sour ipas, to some cool unique twists on braggots, to a special Berliner series.
The bottom line is Istrouma strives to be a place where all palates are welcomed and then pushed to the limits.
Istrouma has done a lot of research and visited some of the best breweries in America to create Its focus, and while we will never guarantee that every beer we release will be a mind blowing success, Istrouma wants everyone to know that we won’t be happy till that very thing happens.
