I ordered hardcore carnivore black rub to try on steaks. It'll be in the mail today

I agree that Leblanc's G&R is some great stuff. Perfect balance and if you want more of a specific flavor like onion, garlic or heat just add that to it.

Just for my own clarification:
small t = teaspoon
large T = Tablespoon?
quote:
1/2 cup paprika
1/2 t salt , dry mustard and chili powder
1/4 t red pepper
1 t each onion powder and garlic powder
small t = teaspoon
large T = Tablespoon?

Looking to change it up a little. What dry rubs do you recommend? Mostly smoking butts, ribs and briskets...
For Pork Shoulder/Butt
1 cup black pepper
1 cup kosher salt
1/4 to 1/2 cup paprica
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
For Brisket
Salt
Pepper
and don't over season.

shite man.... instead of buying a whole other bottle, just grab a good dark roast or espresso roast and make sure it's ground up good. Add it to your exhisting rubs. Do like a couple tablespoons per cup of rub.... Add more according the flavor you're looking for. I've done it on pork loins and tender loins with good success.
