I think it's subpar/meh. Ive been to the UK and their food was much better. portions arent that great either for the price. Their ale selection is lacking too.

Its a nice concept place for watching soccer. Also, they should have a suit of armor . they also dont have many essential british foods like the breakfast, roast, or pies.

I dont want their indian food either when bayleaf is so close.

I thought the Shepard's Pie was decent....I mean it's not gourmet cuisine.....but what can you reasonably expect from an "English pub" in Baton Rouge, LA????

Always forget about this place. I don’t like its location. To me, it’s out of the way for most things I do in and around Baton Rouge. I know several others that feel the same way.

The burger with the ghost pepper cheese and pepper jelly is my favorite burger in town, but the rest of the menu is meh to decent.

I haven't been downstairs there in forever. I think they used to have a suit of armor a long time ago. I'm talking like 6-7 years or so. I agree though, their food isn't great. Beer selection isn't as competitive as it used to be also.

Nope. As another poster said...had the real thing and this ain't it. But, I've eaten food in several other countries including China and what we get in"Chinese" restaurants around here isn't "Chinese".

I used to love their Tuna and Chips, but when they changed the menu several years ago they removed that.

When was it competitive? I’ve always felt like it’s been subpar.

For awhile they were competing with Chimes for beer but they've seem to have given up on that. They want to stick to their niche beers and that is fine but their rotating beer sucks usually. Food was always good but it had been a year or two since I've been, so not sure if that holds true still.

You're comparing UK food to a restaurant in Baton Rouge? That would be like comparing food in Tokyo to Sushi Village. Of course it's not going to be as good.

I happen to like the Londoner, especially their fish and chips, and also the burgers with the fried egg. Not much of a view but the patio is a nice outdoor place to eat, especially if you have a canine date. Sunday night trivia is fun too.

We liked it when it opened, but several bad meals have service have soured that. The last visit my wife ordered a grilled cheese, it took forever, then the brought out a cinder and my reuben. We send hers back, it was inedible. blackened grilled cheese? Really? My reuben had tough and chewy corned beef. We waited another 15 minutes for a redo of the grilled cheese, finally cancelled the order and left.

It now has that dumpy, rundown vibe.

Steak and ale pie is pretty damn satisfying if you ask me.

Not a lot of places one can go to get that kind of food in Baton rouge.
