Monroe has a better restaurant scene than it deserves
Monroe has more restaurants and more non-chain restaurants per capita than any city in Louisiana. Or did before all this bullshite

St. Louis
Kansas City
Omaha
Maybe I'm eating at the wrong places in Birmingham, but nothing has been bad, but nothing has also impressed me.

Harrisburg, PA. One of the biggest surprises as far as food and drink. Montreal and Quebec have to be up there as well. Montreal has a larger Chinatown than SF. I could eat for the rest of my life in either of those cities.

In all honesty Little Rock, AR has a badarse food scene.......assuming they all come back from the Covid-19 crisis.

I've said this for years: I think Portland, Maine has the most underrated food scene in the country.
I feel like the cat's out of the bag there though, isn't it pretty celebrated now?

I think Atlanta was a little more overlooked than Houston, say 5 years ago, but that's probably changed now.

Believe it or not, Jackson MS consistently outkicks its coverage on restaurants.
