Its the toughest decision I've had to make in a year..

Old faithful is Sweetwater IPA, but I'm thinkin about something different

Anything by Stone is incredible. Bear Republic Racer 5 is also bad arse. If you can get some get Founders Red Rye different and delicious.

The Sam Adams seasonal Oktoberfest is pretty good.

If you love Sweetwater, anything by Stone or Dogfish will be an improvement. Also, Sierra Nevada Torpedo would be a good choice. Happy Bday! Start homebrewing immediately.

We seem to share many of the same tastes in beer (and places we shop)-is this a really hoppy beer? I've picked this up in Matherne's several times, but not being a real hophead, I wasn't sure.

May get murdered but I like hopitoulas and even hop rod rye more than racer 5.

To op: location would help. I'm assuming ga or FL with the sweetwater comment. Maybe a bruery bomber or terrapin (monks revenge or wake n bake)

Tried a Stone Smoked Porter the other day.

Was pretty good.

Brewdog Tactical Nuclear Penguin....32% alcohol, strongest beer in the world. Specs in Downtown Houston had three bottles on sale, $80 a piece

X1000

When I lived in Atlanta I paid the rent at Sweetwater Brewery. I think the Stone IPA far superior to 420, but if you can get your hands on Dogfishhead 90 minute IPA (or even 60 minute IPA) your beer drinking world will kick into a different dimension.

I think the real question is, why are you only drinking one?

Yes, it is pretty hoppy in the West Coast IPA style. It has a very floral/citrus/pine hoppy smell as opposed to a very dry hoppyness. It is my favorite American IPA.

Matherne's on Highland has really improved their beer selection the last year. I have really enjoyed all the Ommegangs.

On another note....anyone know where to get some Bells beer in Baton Rouge? Can't get it in Houston, and coming to town for the game.

Yeah, Alabama.

That's the closest place to find it.
