It's just us tonight, so heating some foods from Bellue's. Shrimp creole and crawfish bisque. Might also defrost a container of my chicken and sausage gumbo, but I don't know that it is needed.

Tomorrow is bacon, eggs, and cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Then a late lunch/early dinner of filets and sides. Possibly at home, possibly with neighbors. Depends on work schedules.

We're doing italian food theme christmas, so I'm currently making a double batch of Marcella Hazan's Bolognese sauce. Using half of it for a lasagna bolognese and tossing the rest with some rigatoni.

We're at the beach and I don't want to spend a whole day cooking. I'm grilling burgers, portobellos, and some corn

Made broccoli slaw for lunch with my folks yesterday. Today making dinner rolls for tonight with another segment of my family. Tomorrow I'm frying a turkey, pecan pie and a shrimp mold for my in-laws in JP.

Julia Child’s beef bourguignon over risotto tonight. Garlic bread, sautéed broccolini and a nice bottle of wine tbd.

Ham, shrimp stew, rice dressing, potatoes au gratin, squash casserole, roasted asparagus, boudin, and enough desserts to feed an army tomorrow.

Merry Christmas, all.

Making some shrimp cocktail, a bacon-wrapped shrimp deal, and putting together a pretty badass charcuterie tray for an appetizer.

For our entree, I snagged a whole tenderloin and broke it down to cut some nice, large filet mignon steaks. Going simple with baked potatoes with the fixins, asparagus, mushrooms, and a simple balsamic & red wine reduction for a steak sauce. For the two guests who don't eat steak, I fried up some blackened chicken thighs tonight and will make an alfredo sauce and pasta for them to put the chicken in tomorrow.

Dessert I decided to buy all the shite to make an ice cream sundae bar...make your own.

Roasted beet salad, mushroom pasta with parm broth, duck with lentils, beef tenderloin with potatoes and carrots, and pot de creme or olive oil cake.

That’s what’s being cooked anyway. I’m responsible for table wines (someone else brining pairings for each course) and bread.

Having friends that like to cook for others ain’t a bad thing in life. Merry Xmas!
