I’m craving Willie Mae’s Scotch House’s fried chicken and their wonderful sides. I wouldn’t leave that city without going to lunch there. And I don’t even care to each much fried food but that place does it right.

Do you have any monetary, location or dress limitations?

Is there as big of a Vietnamese enclave on the Westbank as there is in NOLA East?

There's a lot of Vietnamese folks on the WB, but they aren't really in a concentrated "enclave" like that little area out in Da East.

Need to get yourself to Tan Dinh, if you haven't done so.

I'm with Cork on Peche and Commander's. Peche is casual and delicious. Commander's is upper scale and if you've never been, you should go either for lunch, brunch or dinner. Any of those meals will be great. Brunch is on Saturdays and Sundays.

There are lots of good poboys around, but most folks will recommend Parkway.

My god I could eat their duck everyday for the rest of my life.

Some randoms:

Dookie Chase fired chicken buffet, Brooklyn Pizza on Veterans, Port O Call, The Joint for bbq (they have collard greens in the winter)

I have enjoyed every meal I've had there and look forward to going back again. I also like Chef Frank a lot. He's very personable and has visited every table when I've been there.

If your date is hot frank will pull up a chair and sit a minute.

That's a super touristy and mediocre list imo. No offense.
