Listed in order I currently prefer. Teppanyaki has gone downhill a bit, but the price sort of makes up for it.
Foochow Buffet
28600 Walker Rd, Walker, LA 70785
Nagoya (Japanese) They have sushi
3202 Sherwood Forest Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70816
Central Buffet
101 Wax Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70818
Teppanyaki Hibachi Grill, Sushi & Asian Buffet
7677 Andrea Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70809
Other places I would go to, but probably aren't what you mean by "good chinese buffets.":
Chinese Inn
1710 Nicholson Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70802
Oriental Pearl Restaurant
4520 S Sherwood Forest Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70816

You must not go to many buffets. Can't stand them myself.

Nagoya in BR is the best Asian buffet I've ever been to.

Not your typical buffet and not Chinese, but Sushi Masa is the best deal in town when it comes to AYCE

Oriental Pearl is a personal favorite. Dat salt n pepper shrimp... mmmmm..... I can taste the MSG now.
Also, Hunan really is pretty tasty, in Sherwood/Coursey area. The pictures on the wall are funny. My favorite is the Donald Rumsfeld, cracks me up every time.

+1 on Sushi Masa. Not buffet, but a la carte sushi. I don't think they have any proper chinese food. Fried Rice is good though.

People are recommending Nagoya?! Last time I went there it was a mockery of what it used to be and I will never go back again. Not to mention they sure charge a pretty penny for it.
Kamanari is better quality and slightly cheaper, even at the same price you are getting much better food.
I know it isn't Chinese but for great Thai check out Thai Pepper on Florida. Lots of spice, so be prepared but damn it is delicious. Thai Kitchen is good too but has no spice what-so-ever but you can ask for the chili paste tray if you want.
I know multiple people who have gotten serious food poisoning from Sushi Masa so I don't mess around with that place. Went once and it was OK but never really wanted to go back anyway.

Not Chinese, but thai pepper is solid

We usually go to Teppanyaki. They got a groupon going on too.
Do not go to king buffet. The waitress watch you eat and try to rush you out.

Teppanyaki or Nagoya are my go-to. If I'm feeling like eating a box of fried shite I go to China 1 at Bluebonnet/Airline.

I would recommend heading to LSU around lunch time and hitting up Kaminari. If you don't like sushi, you can have them cook you Chinese food to order included on the buffet. It's a great deal at lunch.

I haven't been in eight years or so, hate to hear it went downhill. Oki Nago used to be great in Metairie but it sucks now.

If you want a Chinese buffet Foo Chow in Watson is easily the best -- On Saturday nights they have AYCE snow crabs, blue crabs crawfish, shrimp, etc. in addition their basic Chinese buffet, plus their sushi is actually very good as is their Mongolian Grill. The snow crabs there are perhaps the best I've had, anywhere. Yes they are that good. Just stay away from that tall, skinny Asian prick with the stick up his arse and you'll be OK.
Thai Pepper on Florida is my favorite buffet of any kind, anywhere
Sushi Masa is another great option if you only want sushi -- seriously legit

I personally think that Hunan's buffet sucks. I like Hunan, but only when I can order specialty items off the menu.
