I almost tried to make lo mein, but I had leftover rice, so it was easier.

Horseradish is the only thing I will add to a steak. Love it on rare Prime Rib

Looks good

I love a good sauce on a steak. Horseradish, bearnaise, au poivre, bordelaise etc.

Penzeys recs: the bold taco seasoning, the Justice seasoning (powered onion, garlic, shallot combo good for when you don’t feel like chopping an onion, or just want some zing in a dish where raw onion would be too sharp), the aforementioned Green Goddess salad dressing blend, country french vinaigrette blend....the Chili 3000 is pretty tasty.

I shop with Penzeys, with his sister’s store The Spice House, and with Epices de Cru out of Montreal. Wish we had better local spice store options.

Glad to see that I'm not the only one eyehumping Darla's rice.

I had a big bowl of chicken and sausage gumbo tonight. No ice cream tonight. Whiskey for dessert. Then sleep.

I don’t post much and I definitely don’t have much to add to this thread, but I just wanted to post how happy I am to see MeridianDawg back. His Tikka Marsala recipe became a staple in our menu and I’m just glad he’s back
